House Washing

North Asheville

This North Asheville home needed an exterior cleaning to remove accumulated organic growth and restore the appearance of the home's exterior.

Before

This property was unique because it had multiple different types of siding and a back deck that was inaccessible from the ground. A solid game plan had to be created so this job was done efficiently and correctly.

The Cleaning Challenge

Ths house had metal, brick, stone, and wood for its siding. When it comes to house washing this is a nightmare. Four different surfaces!!! Knowing how to attack these the right way was key to a successful wash. The left side of the property and the back yard were all sloped. This created a logistical difficulty that required careful attention. I didn’t want to fall and get hurt as that would have impeded the job flow.

The Process

For most of the property I was able to use the standard house wash mix. The metal was painted which helped. Brick is always ok in these situations, however, for the wood I did use a specialized wood friendly solution to prevent future wood decay.

After

It got quite cold and windy towards the end of the job. The property manager who hired me was pleased with the result.

Another Asheville Home Preserved

It is always a good idea to keep your property washed on an annual basis. Regular cleaning preserves the materials your house is made of and keeps the neighborhood looking good.
