House Washing
House washing is the art of cleaning siding, soffit, fascia, gutter exterior, and, light window wash.
The Approach & Technique
When it comes to house washing in Asheville, every job starts with a detailed inspection. We walk the entire property, checking for things like structural concerns, electrical hazards, drainage issues, oxidation, and anything else that could affect the cleaning process. This step is critical because it allows us to spot potential problems before we even start. From there, we create a clear plan of attack—a step-by-step game plan to ensure your exterior house cleaning is done safely, efficiently, and with the best possible results.
Our cleaning method is called soft washing, which is the industry standard for safe and effective residential pressure washing. Soft washing uses a specialized cleaning solution combined with low water pressure to remove dirt, algae, mold, and mildew from your home’s exterior. Unlike traditional high-pressure washing, which can damage siding, windows, and trim, soft washing protects your home while delivering a deep, long-lasting clean. If you’re searching for a safe way to clean vinyl siding, stucco, or painted surfaces, soft washing is the way to go.
It’s important to note that oxidation removal is not included in a standard house wash. Oxidation shows up on the sunny side of your home and appears as a white, chalky residue on siding or dark “tiger stripe” streaks on gutters. While it may be tempting to remove it, oxidation treatment requires much stronger chemicals that can strip paint and permanently alter the surface. If you choose to remove the oxidation be prepared to repaint, just in case.
To get the best results from your professional house washing service, we ask that the work area be clear before we arrive. This includes removing outdoor furniture, decorations, debris, pet waste, and anything else that could get in the way. Having a clear workspace allows us to move efficiently around your home and deliver a more thorough clean. Unless discussed ahead of time, we do not move furniture, so a little prep beforehand goes a long way in ensuring a smooth and successful wash.
